Everything is sourced
Every business detail, hours line and special is copied from the business's own website, with the date we read it. Every event date comes from the organiser. Every rule (dogs, swimming, the sandspit) links to the council, DOC or Surf Life Saving NZ page it came from.
02.
Nobody pays
Listings are free. Nobody can pay to be listed, to rank higher, or to have a review written. There are no sponsored posts and no reviews: we don't write them.
03.
If we can't check it, it's not here
A business with no website or page of its own, an event without a published date, or a rule we can't find in the source stays off the site until we can.
04.
We re-check
Listings and events are re-checked against their sources each season, and on the day anyone tells us something has changed.
